We model your solution from scratch to precise tolerances in Onshape and manufacture it using high-stiffness, fiber-reinforced engineering polymers built specifically to withstand extreme saltwater, UV, and marine environments.

Billing & Service Structure
This listing acts as a Design & Initial Prototyping Retainer to initiate your engineering case.
  • Base Engineering Intake Rate: $200.00 (Includes initial project assessment, physical measurement translation, and the first full hour of dedicated parametric CAD modeling).
  • Subsequent Engineering Labor: $175.00 / hour (Billed in 15-minute increments for advanced geometric adjustments or complex multi-part assemblies).
  • Production Surcharges: Final physical delivery invoices will include direct itemized calculations for:
    • Raw engineering material consumption
    • Machine time 
    • Manual  post-processing (precision porting, threading, and chemical smoothing)
    • Final hardware assembly and field fittings
How to Initiate Your Custom Order
  1. Purchase the Retainer: Add this service to your cart and complete the secure $200 checkout to lock your project into our active workshop fabrication queue.
  2. Submit Project Data: Send clear photographs of the broken or obsolete part, precise dimensions using a digital caliper or 3d scanner(or ship pieces or parts to be reverse engineered to the address we communicate during our discussion), and your vessel's system specifications to info@3dfabmarine.com.
  3. Review CAD Proof: Our team will review the geometry, build the parametric digital blueprint, and send you a 3D structural proof for visual verification.
  4. Print & Dispatch: Once approved, we launch automated manufacturing overnight and dispatch the final, physical, component straight to your marina slip.
Note: This transaction covers the purchase of the physical manufactured hardware only. 3D Fabrications retains 100% of all digital source code, Onshape parameter files, and proprietary manufacturing schematics.

Engineering Disclosures & Liability Release


By purchasing this custom engineering and fabrication retainer, the Client explicitly acknowledges, understands, and agrees to the following structural, legal, and operational disclosures:

• Fitment & Verification Liability: 3D Fabrications manufactures components based strictly on digital data, physical samples, dimensions, or blueprints provided directly by the Client. The Client assumes 100% responsibility for verifying final fitment, clearances, and operational safety upon installation. 3D Fabrications is not liable for structural damage, mechanical failure, or secondary vessel damage resulting from incorrect client-supplied dimensions or improper field installation.

• Marine Environment Suitability: While 3D Fabrications utilizes high-grade, UV-stabilized engineering polymers (including carbon-fiber and glass-fiber reinforced composites), additive manufacturing (3D printing) possesses anisotropic strength characteristics (layer lines). These custom components are intended for non-critical, secondary, and obsolete part replacement. They are not certified by the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC), Lloyds Register, or the US Coast Guard for primary hull-penetration, high-pressure fuel lines, or critical steering/throttling mechanisms unless explicitly stated in writing.

• Intellectual Property Rights: Unless a formal, independent Intellectual Property Transfer Agreement is signed by both parties and an additional engineering source-file buyout fee is paid, 3D Fabrications retains absolute ownership of all digital source code, parametric Onshape CAD files, mesh files (.STL/.STEP), and proprietary manufacturing toolpaths generated during this project.

• Warranty Limitation: Due to the highly customized, on-demand nature of reverse-engineering obsolete hardware, all sales are final once modeling begins. 3D Fabrications warrants only that the part will match the final digital CAD proof approved by the client within standard engineering tolerances (+/- 0.2mm). No secondary warranties, expressed or implied, are provided regarding the service lifespan of the component under heavy marine operational loads.
